Preschool Applications must be submitted during our open enrollment window for the 25-26 school year

Thank you for your interest in Temple City Unified School District’s Temple City Early Learning Academy (TCELA). Our facility license number with the California Department of Social Services Community Care Licensing Division is 198021019.

Space is limited and will be based on first come first serve until our enrollment becomes full. Confirmation of registration in our program will not be given until the program has received both the registration application and payment for registration, which includes the first month’s tuition.

How to Register

1. Download the TCELA Registration Packet (and LIC Docs) and review the TCELA Parent Handbook
2. Complete the TCELA Registration Packet and email it to tcela@tcusd.net
   
   Parents may also drop off their Registration Packet to our Temple City Early Learning Academy (TCELA) during office hours (7:30 am-4:00 pm).

Registration Packet

1. Our department will review all applications during the open enrollment window and call/email the parent/guardian to schedule an in-person pre-enrollment appointment. The Physician's Report (LIC 701) will be submitted during the in-person appointment.
    
2. During your appointment with TCELA, our department will collect:
   1. The Physician’s Report (LIC701)
   2. Non-refundable registration fee ($100)
   3. First month’s tuition in our program

Cancellation/Refunds during Pre-registration

Parents who wish to cancel/withdraw their child(ren) from TCELA will need to submit a written request to tcela@tcusd.net. Communication received two weeks before their child’s first day of school to cancel/withdraw their child’s enrollment, will have their first tuition payment fully refunded. Communication received after, will receive no more than a partial (50%) tuition refund.

Age Eligibility
Children must be three years old and potty-trained on or before their first day of school to attend Temple City Early Learning Academy (TCELA). Parents of children who are age appropriate for Transitional Kindergarten or Kindergarten may enroll their child in TCELA but are encouraged to consider enrollment at one of the Temple City Unified School District (TCUSD) elementary schools.

*Our program can become full at any time during the open enrollment window, should this be the case we will open a waitlist. 

Please call our office (626) 548-5210 to schedule a tour of our preschool. All visitors over 18 years old will be asked to bring their Drivers License/ID. Each visitor’s information is screened against the sex offender registry and custom databases
